It’s not. DoJ and local govt. just hasn’t got around to Full Tilt yet.

  2. Weasel 31 Says:

It is not illegal to play on line. The transfer of money in what is illegal. Party Poker will not allow money transfers from or to the USA.

  3. Mark F Says:

Visit PokerGob.com/forums and look at the Greg Raymer Interviews. He discusses this at lengths. There are some other Articles There too.
It is not illegal to play online poker in the USA, it is illegal for banks to process the money transactions. Like I said pokergob has some cool articles. In Germany it is illegal for people to play and for banks to process the transactions.
The reason that Party Poker withdrew is because they had close relations with Neteller and at the time were the largest poker site in the USA and possibly thhe world. Some sites like PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, have taken a business as usual approac, Doyles Room left for a while and is now back.

  4. Christopher B Says:

Because party poker chose to exclude Americans, Full Tilt and Pokerstars did not. It is not illegal to play online, btw.
