What To Do For Bf’s 25th Birthday Party? Legoland? Surprise Party At Home? Ideas!?

My bf turns 25 this month, I want to do something really special for him. We live in LA, so we’ve done the party scene…he has mentioned he would like to go to Legoland, so I was thinking about driving to SD and surprise him with Legoland and then when we return have his best friends waiting at our place with alcohol and cake/poker for a surprise ‘mini’ party.

I will be having 5 other guys over for our first poker party. It is impromptu. Everyone knows at leas two people, but no one knows everyone, except me. We will probably play hold ‘em.
Any general tips, as well as specific tips on limit vs. no-limit
and amount of blinds. I would probably do .25 - .50 but we have some newbies.

i actually played once with a local cop and he told us that (here) they would not bother the penny ante games but were only looking for the “big money” games to bust.
