Does Going To Parties Matter?

I’m a 17 year old guy, and although I love to have a good time, I’m not into going to parties and drinking. I love to go hang out with people and play poker, video games, go shopping, go to the movies, go out to eat, or just chill, but I’m just not into a bunch of people drinking because they want to look cool. If I had a girlfriend, I’d do whatever she wanted and I’m sure we’d have a great time. I just haven’t found many girls I’m interested in. I know you can meet alot of people at them, but it seems like I don’t meet too many new people at all. Alot of people think if you don’t go to parties you’re not cool or what ever they want.
So my question is, how much does it matter to people if you go to parties or not?
