Alice In Wonderland 18th Birthday Party?

I’ll be turning eighteen next year in January, but I’d like to host a with friends in March. This is because the movie “ in ” directed by Tim Burton will be coming out then and I think it’d be fun to throw a “” themed .
Everyone would come in costume, we’ll see the movie in the afternoon, and then come back to my that evening to have the . I can decorate my backyard and the inside of my with lanterns and have music playing. We could play poker and have a costume contest.
Other than that, I really don’t have any for this . I want to do something fun that relates to “ in .” Though, at the same time, I don’t want to go overboard with “activities” and turn this into a kiddy .

I to plan a for mid january so it must be indoors. My friends range from drinkers to non drinkers, so I a way for everyone to have a good time while keeping it low budget & simple. I was thinking maybe fiesta, 60’s/70’s or casino/poker themes (except i dont know any card games) with optional drinking? I’m really not sure what to do. Helllpp!!!

Hi everyone, I’m planning my for next week. Have already invited friends and . It’s going to be at my .
I want it to be an easy going, memorable night for all. I have already come up with . Basically:
- have a spit roast running
-Bbq running
- food on the side
- Kareoke
- music
- poker, (hopefully no monetary bets)
- games, eg genga
- darts.
I want to encourage everyone not to drink too much . I myself have stopped drinking but there will be drinks there for others. I want to be able to keep everone occupied so they won’t just keep drinking. I want everyone to enjoy the night without .

I am planning to have a “” them for our (my sister too, we’re twins :P) . We already rented a hall and are planning to rent a DJ.
I’m planning to have glow sticks and such.. but i’m out of for decoration and favors.
Do you think dancing is enough to entertain people? Because I was planning to have a casino themed and have some poker tables and such, but it might be too much to make sure there was a dealer there the whole night.
Also, does anyone have a list of virgin (non-alcoholic) drinks that can be offered? I will have a bar htere (some of my relatives are coming) but I want it to be fun to come up and order a drink.
