In Glossary there are:
Aggressive Action - A wager that could enable a player to win a pot without a showdown;
Blank - A board card that does not seem to affect the standings in the hand;
Burn a Card - To discard the top face-down card from the deck. It is security against any player recognizing or glimpsing the next card to be used on the board.
Calling Station - This is the kind of player you like to have in your game. A weak-passive player who calls a lot, but does not raise or fold much;
Cardroom - The rooms in which poker is played, or the organizations that run those rooms. In some places where poker is legal, you will also find separate cardrooms dedicated mostly to online Texas Holdem Poker.
Free Card - A turn or river card on which you do not have to call a bet because of play earlier in the hand;
High Hand - The best hand in any round of online poker;
Joker - A wild card that can be used as any card the poker player wishes;
Kill Pot - A pot with a forced kill by the winner of the two previous pots, or the winner of an entire pot of sufficient size in a high-low split game;
Loose Player - A player who gets involved in most pots whether or not he holds a good hand;
Offsuit - An Online Texas Holdem poker starting hand in which the two cards are of different suits;
Play Behind - Have chips in play that are not in front of you. This is allowed only when waiting for chips that are already purchased;
Position - Your place at the table, relative to the order of betting within a betting round. The first few players to act are in early position, the next few in middle position, and the last few in late positions;
Royal Flush - To achieve this hand you need an Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10 of the same suit. This is the highest possible ranked hand;
String Bet - A raise in which a player doesn’t get all the chips required for the raise into the pot in one motion;
Super Visor - A cardroom employee qualified to make rulings, such as a floor person, shift supervisor, or the cardroom manager;
Texas Holdem - This is widely considered the grandfather of online poker. In this game, each player gets two pocket cards, while five community cards are dealt face-up on the table. The strength of a poker player’s hand is the best five-card hand that can be made with these seven cards. There are four rounds of betting: after the pocket cards are dealt, after the first three community cards (the flop), after the fourth, or turn card, and after the final, or river card;
Trips - Also known as a three-of-a-kind;
Underdog - A person or hand that is not mathematically favored to win a pot;
